The Taghazout Discovery Package: Surf, Sandboarding & Paradise Valley
The Taghazout Discovery Package combines one group surf lesson, one sunset sandboarding session at the Timlalin Dunes and one Paradise Valley trip over three days for €69 per person (about 740 MAD). Booked separately, the three activities cost €78, so the package saves €9.

Every Taghazout Discovery activity package includes a local guide, pickup and return from Taghazout and Tamraght, and all equipment. Groups are a maximum of 6 people for surf lessons and 8 people for dune and valley trips. Family packages are private.

How much does a Taghazout activity package cost?
Taghazout activity packages cost €39 to €69 per person (approximately 420 to 740 MAD). The cheapest packages are Sandboarding & Quad Bike and the Surf Lesson from Agadir, both at €39 per person. The Surf Lesson from Agadir includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Agadir and is available from 2 people. Family packages for two adults and two children cost €99 to €169 per group (approximately 1,065 to 1,820 MAD).
Most people end up between €39 and €69 each. Tell us what you want to do and how many you are, and we tell you which combination works out best. Sometimes that means no package at all.
Is a package cheaper than booking the activities separately?
Five Taghazout Discovery packages cost less than booking the same activities separately: 3 Surf Lessons saves €18, Sandboarding, Quad & Camel saves €19, Surf & Sandboarding Day saves €9, the Taghazout Discovery Package saves €9, and Surf & Skateboarding Day saves €5 per person. The three family packages save €9 to €27 per group.
The other combos cost the same as booking both parts on their own. You still get one booking, one pickup and one plan for the day.
What is included in the Taghazout Discovery Package?
The Taghazout Discovery Package includes a group surf lesson, a sunset sandboarding session at the Timlalin Dunes and a Paradise Valley trip, spread over three days. The package costs €69 per person (approximately 740 MAD), compared with €78 when the three activities are booked separately.
The day between activities is not padding. Your shoulders will be done after the first surf, and the dunes are more fun when you are not wrecked.
Do Taghazout activity packages include pickup?
Every Taghazout Discovery activity package includes pickup and return from Taghazout and Tamraght. Pickup from Agadir costs €25 per car for the return trip, except for the three family packages and the Surf Lesson from Agadir. All family packages include pickup and drop-off in Agadir at no extra cost. The Surf Lesson from Agadir includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Agadir for groups of 2 or more.
Send us the name of your hotel or riad. Taghazout is small enough that we know most of them.
Can beginners and children book a Taghazout activity package?
No previous experience is needed for any Taghazout Discovery activity package. Surfing, sandboarding, skateboarding, quad biking and camel rides are all guided from the beginning. The minimum age is 8 years for surf lessons and 7 years for skateboarding. Sandboarding has no fixed minimum age and usually suits children from about 6 or 7.
Nearly everyone who books with us has never done any of it. Tell us how old your kids are when you message. That changes what we suggest more than anything else.
Which Taghazout activity packages are made for families?
Three Taghazout Discovery packages are made for families of two adults and two children and are priced per group: Family Surf Lesson (€99), Family Day Trip to Tizgui Valley (€119) and Family Paradise Valley & Sandboarding Day (€169). Family packages run privately, so the family sets the pace. All family packages include free pickup and drop-off from Taghazout, Tamraght and Agadir.
An eight-year-old and a fourteen-year-old want quite different days. We would rather say so up front than have one of them bored by lunchtime.
How is payment made, and can a package be cancelled?
Taghazout Discovery activity packages are paid in cash on the day, in euros or Moroccan dirhams, to the guide at the meeting point. No deposit or online payment is required. Packages can be rescheduled or cancelled by WhatsApp without a fee. The only exception is the 3 Surf Lessons package, which is paid in full at the first lesson and is non-refundable.
Weather turns, kids run out of steam, plans move. Just message us and we shift your day.
What should be brought to a Taghazout activity package?
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and water are needed for surf and valley activities. Closed shoes, sunglasses and a warm layer are recommended for the dunes, where it gets cold after sunset. Surfboards, wetsuits and sandboards are provided.
The thing people forget is something warm for afterwards. Once the sun is behind the dunes, it gets cold fast.
What can I do in Taghazout in one day?
One day in Taghazout fits a group surf lesson at 10:00 and a sunset sandboarding session at the Timlalin Dunes with pickup at 16:00. Taghazout Discovery sells both together as the Surf & Sandboarding Day for €49 per person (about 525 MAD), which is €9 less than booking the two activities separately.
Not a surfer? Swap the morning for Paradise Valley. Same evening at the dunes, same price.
What are things to do in Taghazout if I don’t surf?
Activities in Taghazout that do not involve surfing include sunset sandboarding at the Timlalin Dunes (€29 per person), a Paradise Valley trip (from €20 per person), quad biking and camel rides at the dunes, and skateboarding at Taghazout Skatepark. Taghazout Discovery packages without surfing start at €39 per person for Sandboarding & Quad Bike.
Plenty of people come here and never touch a surfboard. If you only do one thing, make it the dunes at sunset.
What is the best activity package for 3 days in Taghazout?
For a three-day stay, the Taghazout Discovery Package combines one group surf lesson, one sunset sandboarding session at the Timlalin Dunes and one Paradise Valley trip, one activity per day, for €69 per person (about 740 MAD) instead of €78. Pickup from Taghazout and Tamraght is included.
One thing a day leaves time for the beach, the cafés and doing nothing. Most people need that more than a fourth activity.
